About Me

Christine: An American nature enthusiast with Breton roots

Born and raised in the US, I’ve been passionate about the natural world for as long as I can remember.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies, followed by a master’s degree focused on the connection between people and their environment, I began leading hikes and conducting outreach for environmental non-profits.

In 2010, I moved abroad to Brittany, the birthplace of my father, intending to stay for just one year. More than fifteen years and two children later, I’ve also developed a passion for our rich local cultural heritage and the enduring connection between people and place here in Brittany.

I created Explore the Trégor to share my enthusiasm for the region’s beautiful natural areas, to exchange stories and knowledge about its rich cultural heritage, and to encourage people to slow down to cultivate a deeper connection to the Trégor as well as benefiting physically and mentally from being present in nature.

I hope you’ll join me for an immersive natural and cultural experience in Brittany’s Trégor region!
